Rama and Sita

Today I've been making preparations for the workshops we will be running in India, and starting to sort out which clothes I'm going to take. These trips are hard work with little down time, although this time I've arranged to stay on for the weekend after we finish to do a little bit of solo travelling and sightseeing. On one previous trip I bought these leather Rama and Sita figures that now stand behind me on the wall of my study. In the Diwali story Rama, together with his brother Lakshman and the monkey King Hanuman, rescue Sita from captivity at the hands of the evil god, Ravana.
