The Alphabet trail

The sun came out!! So we went off insect hunting! Found this truly amazing beetle!! It is Rhagium mordax, it was very large!
It sat beautifully on a tree stump, and this was before we even left the car park!!
Saw lots of bees, a few butterflies including the extra photo-Small Pearl bordered fritillary. No sign of any dragonflies this year, Spring has been too cold here I think.
