Death of the Signature...

I remember sometime at school, trying to come up with some sort of fancy signature.  Probably around the time I started needing things like bank accounts and stuff.  I don't think I was ever satisfied with it as I was never the neatest writer and the letters of my name didn't feel like they had enough flourish.

It occurred to me that up until recently, I've not been using my signature all that much.  Advent of chip and pin and even more so, contactless, I seldom take my bank card out my wallet let alone sign for anything with it.

I reckon by the time she comes to do this sort of thing, there'll be even less call for it.
