Alaska

This little larch tree has struggled to live - having been eaten twice by moose and once by rabbits. We had put fences around it, but they were either not tall enough or wide enough to keep out those critters. Finally we surrounded it with two fences from the ground to about 8 feet high, and it seems to have recovered and is growing well!
Larch grow quite large in Alaska, and they are especially beautiful in the fall before all their needles fall off!
