Achocha .....

..... crown.


One of the more unusual crops I'm growing on the allotment is a couple of achocha plants. They originate from south America and the little spiky fruits taste like a cross between a cucumber and a green pepper. The vines have taken over half of one of my fences and there are hundreds of achocha on them. These ones had been left on the plants a little too long to eat but they make a good crown and I'll save the seeds from them to grow next year and pass on to people. So today's blip is the .....
