Headin’ for them thar hills

Oh, the relief to be here again, even if it did take us all day to get here. HH had to make an emergency visit to the dentist, while I went twice to the bank to sort out blocked internet access (all due to wrong info provided by the bank itself – grrr). And by the time I’d packed the car, it looked more like a house move than anything else. Still, we made it and peace is settling like a comfort blanket.
 
The dogs were in the run and, after such a long absence, didn’t immediately recognize the sound of the car. As it was dark already, and we had heard that porcupines are on the prowl, not to mention the skunk we saw coming up the drive, we hardened our hearts to their barking and put off our reunion till tomorrow. Now all is silence.
