The Big Dig

It had become dangerously high so I cut down the pine tree in the side yard.  I figured I'd let it set a year and then dig out the stump.
That was three years ago.
While it sat there becoming easier and easier to remove I had to mow and trim around it.  It's an ugly spot in the grass and it just keeps getting worse.
Today I began it's destruction.  I'm willing to bet that the hole is only a fraction of what it will be at the end and the work will be taxing on my old, fat body. But I'm really looking forward to having it out of there.
