It took a good dollop of courage for Lizzie to accompany our nine-year-old Emily on something called Aerial Adventure. The pair of them spent half-an-hour in the tall pines climbing wobbly ladders, using rope swings and crossing bridges straight out of an Indiana Jones film, all to reach the start of a zip wire some 15 metres up. Lizzie's expression here is 10 per cent enjoyment and 90 per cent relief that the ordeal is over. I was proud of them both. And relieved that somebody had to stay on the ground to look after Martha.
