The Aliens Have Landed

Alcester town centre is closed tonight, for the annual Mop Fair. I had to go out earlier, so on my way back home I pulled into a car park to grab a quick couple of photos.
These rides are erected and dismantled overnight, and are there for only a couple of days, and then they return about a fortnight later for the "Runaway Mop". 
I can only imagine what it must be like to live in the centre of the town on these days. The roads are quite narrow, and these big structures whizz about, barely missing the buildings.
We used to go to Stratford Mop when I was a child, but it long ago lost its attraction for me.
