Old and new

A day that started off wet and miserable, but not cold.  The work in the Canongate continues.  Interesting views through the blank windows to Calton Hill behind. 

busy day but quite a bit achieved.  There was a heavy downpour at lunchtime but it had cleared up by the time I walked up to Shrub. interesting chat with W one of our tutors.  good to see him so engaged and enthusiastic.  

Collected tickets from the Festival Theatre and home in time to plant hyacinths and chop back lavender.  The garden certainly needed the rain.

I'd planned to watch catch up tv, Fiji v Uruguay changed that.  #2 son has found another flat he likes so spent some time looking at that with him.  I hope he takes my advice!
