Another sad day.....

Today we had to say goodbye to our beloved Earl. When he made it through the night after being up much of it comforting him while his breathing got more and more laboured we decided to take our baby to the vets today. Even by the time we got there he had deteriorated more and he ended up passing away himself while we were there. He snuggled into me on our journey there and was quite peaceful when we arrived, we are glad he didn't any intervention after all and passed away peacefully himself.

Pictured here Earl is holding onto my hand and lying down relaxed while at the vets. If my hand moved at all he held on tight and brought it closer.

My husband and I were heartbroken but it was his time to go and there will never be another cat quite like him. His loving and affectionate nature was quite unique, his beautiful personality never changed all 14years of his life. He was loved and loved us right back his whole life and he has left imprints on all our lives. The children were heartbroken after school when we broke the news but understand the poor darling was tired out. He will be in all of our hearts forever

It's been a very emotional day and my eyes are stinging sore, the house is so quiet with him and Sooty both gone now and it will take some getting used to as Earl was so "chatty". We hope they are having fun being reunited together...
