Unknown and forgotten

It was another day of temperatures in the high 20s and plenty of wind to go with it.

I took a walk at lunchtime and felt like I was being blown inside and out. I spotted these flowers in a sheltered shady spot. They look like a miniature iris but I've never seen one quite like this. Does anyone recognise it? The took my fancy in their cool and sheltered spot.

My eyes are are sore and scratchy tonight. I've dealth with  emailed the council tonight, and done a few other things that needed attending to. But it's time to give my eyes a rest from the screen.
