Going Commando

Heard tell of some aurora, but, by the time I had reached my chosen vantage point, fading intensity and low cloud had all but done for them. However, all was not lost, as I had chosen to drive to the Commando Memorial outside Spean Bridge. I perched my gorilla pod on an obliging bench, focused and snapped a 25-second exposure. A car drive by just at the end, adding an unexpected yet welcome frisson to the lighting. I must confess to being rather pleased at the result.
