Went to see the Olympic Torch today. It was going right past the end of the road that YH, the S & H and Charlotte live on.

Up and out for the bait for tomorrow.....as I entered the shop Chaddy called out, "Kieran, have a look round the back of the counter, new stock just in.....water wings!".....will it never end?.... saw the boys and then the Daughter and I shot over to Rochdale.....(the Boss saw the Flame at her Dad's on Wednesday....plus she was in bed after a night shift).

Got lots of shots of the torch bearer....really close up......but thought this one of the copper made a better blip.
The reason I got so many good shots of the Torch Bearer...was a strange one....you probably should have seen it on the news....... but there were no tv cameras.

The Torch Relay got stopped today....right in front of us!

We were stood by a pelican crossing.....a little old lady elbowed her way through the crowd....muttering....hit the button on the crossing....and stepped out....right in front of the coach carrying the runners! The Bearer almost ran into the back of the coach as he slammed on the anchors! She carried on regardless....across the road....through the crowd on the other side ....and into the Co-op!

The copper on the bike looked bloody angry.....as you would.....but someone shouted smile....and he did! Mind you I'm not sure those shades are standard police issue.

Early start in the morning....it's getting ridiculous....I'm picking Shaun up at 6.30!.....and tomorrow night D and B are coming round here to watch the England game instead of our normal Sunday night.
