Freeman Street

The old main shopping street of Grimsby, with the famous dock tower (designed to look like a minaret, ironically in a town where UKIP and even EDL have plenty of support) at the focal point. Here for a long overdue haircut before open evening at school. Hair cut by charming Polish lady - last time was lovely Bulgarian Muslim. Much happier discussing British culture and pros and cons of Grimsby as a place to live than I am with the banal small talk you get in most English hairdressers. Not to mention the price differential (£6 here).
