All.....
..... a blur.
This evening I had to go to Ben Rhydding. On the way back home I decided to have a walk back along the river path. The stepping stones were hidden below the river with waves rippling downstream as the river roared over them. The rain of the last few days has raised the level of the River Wharfe to almost bursting.
The trackway along the river was almost as wet as the river itself and very boggy. I took a few long exposure shots of the water creating wakes around the trunks of trees that would normally be on the river bank and some photos of the usually still pools of water that sit to the side of the wharfe.
I had planned on blipping a photo of the raging waters that I took from the footbridge over the river, but Earthdreamer has made a much better job than I of capturing the power of the Wharfe today. Instead I have chosen a photo of one of the islands next to the river which is now under water, I had intended this to be a straight photo but had left the settings on the phone to a longer exposure resulting in this image. It sort of expresses how my head feels today. I have so much I want to do at the moment and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to fit everything in. So todays blip is .....
..... All a blur.
