A rather poor shot of the aurora.
The aurora wasn't too clear from this latitude, south Scotland, and I snapped what I could. I then stayed up all night in the garden, gradually getting colder, but the Northern Lights stayed far north.
To console myself I tried a shot of the Orion constellation - please see extra photo. Further consolation came from a drop of malt whisky, it's amazing how well it tastes when chilled without ice.
