Bowling Harbour

On a day like today the harbour with its old Custom House  looked stunning. No sign of boats on the move, but of course the season is over. However, an owner who lives in a boathouse there told me that new homes are planned by Scottish Canals who own the land near the basin, but the development will need to include a new bridge. This will change the sleepy nature of this peaceful location. The Custom House may become a pub and eaterie. Some will welcome this development while others will be less enthusiastic. The extra photo is one of this year's cygnets picking up all the blue reflections and the other is the fabulous view along the Clyde Estuary towards Glasgow from Bowling.
