Strenuous plus

After the great weather forecast, we were a bit disappointed to be walking in mist again this morning. We had wonderful views from our coach along the Military Road, but the mist was thick and showed no sign of burning off at Kielder.

Our walk was to the Kielder Stane, an enormous rock that sits in a stunning landscape. The sun came out as we approached and we had wonderful, "top of the world" views all afternoon.

It was hard work, but I'm glad I did it. (Arth and Aggie are not quite so sure.)
