Scaffolding

Had a brilliant day that started with making a breakthrough with a particularly challenging student. He was a little reluctant to take part in our practical lesson but with a little patient guidance and reassurance, he paired up with a peer and quietly observed to begin. After offering some instructions to his partner, with some gentle prompting, he finally took a leap of faith and took control of my camera! Manual setting too!
This is one of his snaps today. He was really keen to capture it. Not a bad job at all considering he told me he 'didn't like taking pictures'. It was great to see the smile and look of accomplishment on his face.
