Great Grandma Emma

My Throwback Thursday photo is of my Great Grandmother - my maternal Grandad's mum - Emma Richardson. My mum remembers her as a very gentle lady, much like my grandad and my mum.

She died of lung cancer when my mum was just eight years old in either 1959 or 1960 and she was born around 1893 in Berkshire. She has a pretty face, curly hair and kind eyes and I wish I'd met her.

This photo inspired me to research my family tree. Started it ten years ago then stopped. A winter project for me!
