Mexican Shrimp Plant

Justicia Brandegeeana is the correct Flora name for this pretty shrimp plant.  I love unusual looking flowers and this plant came in a beautiful twisted tree perfect for a large pot on my patio.  The added bonus is that this plant is suppose to attract butterflies and humming birds. I am hoping that I can keep it alive long enough for that to happen!  My track record is not so great with potted plants.  The sweet lady, who sold me the tree, asked me what kind of fertilizer did I plan to use for my new Mexican Shrimp plant. The blank look on my face was all she needed to gently steer me to buy some!
