Crest

Despite the sunshine I felt a bit uninspired today. Certainly uninspired on the photographic front.

I have been asked to do some photographs of some paintings. Not strictly a painting perhaps, but this almost counts. It is a photograph of a family crest. Not sure what it signifies, but seeing the grapes it looks like wine may be involved somewhere.

Having done a little research on a heraldry site I have found out the meaning of the grapes and the chevron. Grapes symbolise good luck, The chevron that the person had participated in some noble enterprise or had accomplished some work requiring faithful service. The tree is a symbol of strength. I am left with the parallel red and gold lines.
