here I am sniffing

and trying to get organised and pack

and what happens...................

the hinges on the lap top failed

so I'm typing this with the screen propped up on a bookend while the new thingy downloads updates 

then it's back to stripping the hard drive onto the cloud

this then leaves one issue...
all the photo back ups are on DVD
the new thingy has no DVD drive
so I will have to keep this one going and copy to the cloud
