Sick Chick

This is Merle two weeks ago when we got her (via Homes For Hens) she was looking a lot better but has come down with a respiratory infection. She has been to the vets, had an antibiotic injection with another one on Saturday which I administer. I watched the vet very carefully as he injected into the thickest muscle (chicken breast) There was hardly any flesh there. However one day later she has perked up and is separated from the other chicks and living the life of Riley in the house. At this very moment she is settled in her bed watching 'You've Been Framed' occasionally calling for some corn. Fingers crossed. But I heard another sneeze coming from the chicken  pen.
