Little Boxes at Southwold
This picture reminds me of a song written in 1962 by Malvina Reynolds called Little Boxes.
Little boxes on a hillside
Little boxes all the same
There's a green one, a pink one, a blue one and a yellow one
And they are all made of ticky tacky and they all look the same.
On average these little boxes change hands for over £100,000, I know it's ridiculous, a little two up, two down terrace in Southwold is over £500,000. So you don't need to be a mathematician to realise the money tied up in these little boxes sitting on the sea front for as far as the eye can see!
I was in Southwold today having taken my brother and sister in law for lunch at the pier and delicious it was too, I wont need to eat for a week!. The weather was exceptional and as we walked along the seafront my brother remarked that he couldn't believe it was well into October and we didn't need sweaters or jackets
