Cyclist Dilemma...

I caught up with someone on the way up my first hill this morning.  Didn't really get time to pass until we got to the bridge by which time, with us being quite evenly matched speed wise, I was basically just following them.

Now this gets a little more complicated with the cyclist in front being female.  Cycling in virtual darkness, being quite closely tailed by someone, could be a bit vaguely threatening.  So I overtake and try to keep ahead.  You don't want to make the bold overtake only to be bunny hopped a couple of minutes later.

Turns out we were going almost exactly the same route and after a couple of overtakes back and forward and a red light at Haymarket yards, there was a wee friendly chat of acknowledgement of what was going on.
