Get The Ball Rolling

Firstly, I've purposely skipped yesterday's entry so that this could be 100 :) but I'll add it later (I don't think that's cheating?).

This is L and A at the ball, and I'm hoping it was actually taken by me as J took the camera for a while :P Didn't seem to be able to get any good shots as the flash isn't too.... flash... on my camera, but after editing the red eyes off this one it turned out nice :D

Amazing night. Stunning and spectacular and wish I could go again.

Started off by getting ready for the ball, actually took a fair while which was surprising :P Went to see my grandmother as she was expecting to have me for most of the day but ended up not, so went to show her how I looked. Went to J's house for about an hour as he was having a small pre-ball, which was nice, and everyone tried to get me to sing. I want to but I'm just afraid it won't actually be good or live up to their expectations. I think I should have though. Maybe I'll show one person at a time :P

To the actual ball now, with A's dad driving me, her and J. (J had to give A some flowers as his date by the way, it was freaking hilarious :L). Got to the SkyCity Convention Centre, and there was a mime :o he gave out flowers to some of the girls and just did mime stuff. Then there was also an accordion player (the theme was 'A Night In Paris' if that explains it). Posed with M for the photo you get with your date as you go in as neither of us had dates and we didn't want to seem loner :P

Inside the place we were in... lights strung up everywhere, fanciness seeping out of the walls etc. It started off being quite awkward for me to dance, as I found flailing my arms around felt weird :P M (a different M) persuaded me into the dance area and made me dance, which meant that I was actually able to dance most of the night :D. Dinner and desert were amazing, although desert was better. Got some photos with friends which was good, as I'll always have professional-grade memories :D Missed dancing to one of the only songs I knew (as well as liked) that they played but then danced to some others.

Started feeling really sick so had to sit out a lot. Wish I had done something about it as I felt sick most of the night :| Was dancing, when suddenly Last Friday Night by Katy Perry came up. Me and D danced hard out as it's kind of our song XD it was amazing :D

Slow dances at the end, almost none of our group went up, even the ones who were there as partners :P The ball finished, and people went home, at the end of an awesome night :D (Thank you everyone who was there and reads blip for making it awesome, especially D :) )
