Gloucestershire Beachcomber

It was lovely to welcome friends from Gloucestershire to stay with us this weeek-end and to reunite them with Edinburgh based friends over dinner.

Here one of our friends is looking for shells to take home to her wonderful Cotswold garden.

Our friends had never been to Portobello Beach before so the significance of the absent Cockenzie chimneys was actually completely insignificant!

The shipping forecast always talks of "precipitation in sight" ; that was true this afternoon along the coasts of Fife and East Lothian. None fell on Joppa during our perambulation!
