Gagnac

J had a dental appointment today. The surgery is about seven minutes from the house, but because of roadworks the only bridge for miles around to span the river Cère is subject to controls and lines of traffic more than a kilometer long. So we took a circuitous cross-country route via Gagnac and the next nearest bridge - which can only take one vehicle at a time. This is the view we had of the town nestling among the trees as we came down the hill from the wine-producing village of Glanes. So a round trip that should have taken no longer that 30 minutes turned into an outing of more than an hour. Better than sitting in a line of traffic, though! I just hope the work is finished in time for her next appointment.
