Portsoy Boat fest

Despite ugly weather my daughter and me headed East for the annual traditional boat festival, . We both enjoy boats and I love Portsoy with its 15th century harbour. The festival has apart from boats a food festival, arts and crafts, great music, (and poetry this year) and much more, as usual we met people we knew. The weather improved and we watched the rowing gig races which were quite exciting in these conditions. As we normally do we treated ourselves to tasty snacks and then headed up to Troup Head in order that I could share the wonder of the place. I think we both lost sense of time watching the gannets and other seabirds. As usual I took loads of pictures with only a few worth anything and I posted most to my Flickr account
