Old Edinburgh Revealed

At a time when the architectural integrity of Edinburgh is under threat like from ugly and downright destructive proposals such as "Caltongate", the laughing stock in waiting of the " ribbon" hotel at St James, the proposed despoiling of Cannonmills and the outrageous desecration of the Old Royal High on Calton Hill, it's nice to catch a glimpse of what used to be.

I don't remember this shop on George Street but there was a time when that thoroughfare was more than bars, banks and overpriced dress shops.
