in the Lakes

We drove up to the Lakes for a week break today. We only got as far as the south end of Windermere before we parked up and took to the fells. A short walk up Gummers How and some fabulous views over Windermere and out to sea, albeit hazy in the distance.

I chose to blip this Luing cow that blankly refused to let use her path, They looked superb grazing the lower fells between trees. The special breed cattle have been introduced to help with vegetation management of the fell and a welcome addition they are.
