A Long Way Home

It was a really beautiful morning as I left Peebles for my long drive back to Hampshire.  The mist hung in the Tweed Valley creating layers of white against the green and brown landscape.  I wanted to stop but felt compelled to keep driving, knowing the long journey ahead, so I tried to savour the views as I drove.  All went well, and I arrived home 8 hours after my departure.  It was good to get out of the car after all that time and try to loosen up my muscles.
