Take Shelter

The excitement of today was a trip to Clapham South to visit the disused deep-level shelter. It was a trip arranged through London Transport Museum and Hidden London. The shelter was one of several constructed with the capacity for 8000 people in the early years of World War 2. It had subsequently been used for a variety of purposes from a hostel to secure document storage before being sealed off and disused. Now owned by Transport for London, it is being developed for tourists to visit. No tripods were allowed to it was high ISO, hand held shots but the grainy quality I think suits the location!

[Annie: ] We thought that was the highlight of the day until later on we discovered that the secret project Chris had disappeared on last Sunday had come to fruition.
