Not the Aurora Borealis

I went out this evening, back to the heritage park  to see if I could capture a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis- obviously not.  There was too much cloud and the park was not a good location.  When I caught the sunset last week, it was because the area to the west of the park is fairly clear, whereas I wanted to be looking north on this occasion and apart from the castle and trees there was too much ambient light from Glasgow.   It may be visible for the next two weeks so I'll try an area of the town that has a clear view to the north or drive to the windfarm as it's in a higher location. Looking at this blip of the castle, it looks as though I should also switch off my flash.
