Great North Swim

Despite the swim being cancelled we thought we'de still go down to the event site to take a look. I was keen to see what the course looked like, having only been able to imagine it since applying last year. We weren't alone, many others had made the pilgrimage too and we chatted with a lovely lady from Essex who swam regularly both in the event, and for her own pleasure all year round.

As it happened we were drinking tea and coffee in the bistro opposite when our swim would have started. So we thought about it, and imagined it, and helped ourselves to cake . . .
