Isle House.....Celebration of Spring.....

In 1842 Thomas Marsden & his wife emigrated to Nelson,  New Zealand from Cumberland,England.He built and named his property Isle ....after a small village in his native Cumberland.
Today the house is under the stewardship of the Council and every year there is a Celebration of spring,with dancing ,food,,singing and walks under the magnificent old trees amongst the bluebells ,azaleas and rhododendrons....
A gorgeous place to visit on a warm,spring day.....
