Godwits- what a godsend

I met blipmate coming out of the estuary area as I went in this morning. She said there weren't too many birds around but it all happened after she left.
I saw a white faced heron, ducks, black swans (15), pied stilts and then two godwits flew in and started a raucous row amongst all the other birds. Here they are flapping about. It all settled down until two heron came in and off they went again. All wanted the same spot.
It was a real treat to see the godwits so close as they usually hang out on the far away sandspit.
