Bracteantha bracteata

This is more commonly know as a Yellow Paper Daisy or an Everlasting.  I was walking home today and, because it was overcast, this little flower was totally closed in a tight little fist of a bud.  I thought I would take it home and get another to go with it later when they opened properly so I could include both in my Blip. Well, my flower simply opened spontaneously when the sun came out, even though it was in my kitchen, away from sunlight. So here you have the beautiful silky-looking underside of the flower, so symmetrical and perfect, while my extra today is the flip side, which is more familiar and seen right across Australia. Yes it's another Australian native flower.
