Olympic Torch Relay

There was huge excitement in the village today, the torch was going through on its way from Pickering to Scarborough. Old ladies filled the bus shelter on the green and there was a man with flags!

As it was, it was a blink and you'll miss it event. The police outriders appeared and a cavalcade sped through at 50mph. Ten minutes later when the crowd had disbanded a second group appeared, more outriders and the coach. Unfortunately, everyone had gone home. We didn't see the flame but the policemen and coach driver waved as they sped by!
