The Spirit of Great Britain

I knew that this 134 Avro Vulcan (XH558) was due over RAF St.Athan and Cardiff International Airport at about 15:10 this afternoon on its farewell tour of the UK. I found a quiet little vantage point about an hour earlier and waited. Spot on time, I could see the aircraft come streaking across the Bristol Channel. It then banked over RAF St. Athan where I took these two photographs and headed towards Cardiff Airport. It was truly a magnificent sight and very well worth the hours wait.
