Heron taking to the skies

It stayed dry for my outing to Birdland today which was a big relief. There was not much sun but the light was pretty good for photography. This wild heron flew into Birdland in the hope of pinching a little bird food. We stood patiently for about ten minutes as we were sure he was about to fly off again and I managed this shot just as he flew out of the tree.
In extras there is a black swan shot I am particularly pleased with, they are hard to photograph as the pond is very dark too but today it was reflecting the yellow leaves and made for a very pleasing image.
