Autumn colours
We drove over to Castle Drogo, the National Trust house which is having extensive renovations as when it was built the owner didn't want it built the way the architect, Edward Lutyens directed so it leaked water before it was finished. The house sits looking over a beautiful valley. We explored inside for the first time today, they hope to finish the building works in 2017 and get everything back in place by 2018. After lunch, we did the circular walk to Fingle's Bridge and back which has lots of ups and downs. This acer was in the house gardens.
