Colors of Fall

The bracken has really turned during this last week, providing a wonderful golden carpet to the forest. When we set out on our walk it was rather grey and overcast, but later on the sun began to break through the clouds, and by this time it was around 5pm, so it was that lovely warm late afternoon light, which really accentuated the colors. Unfortunately I had forgotten to charge the battery in my camera yesterday evening after it's busy day up in Paris, and the battery had died by that point! So I've had to make do with a shot taken earlier in the afternoon!
