Bit of a grey day on the Mersey! (But still fun)
Main photo is of the Dazzle Ferry - enough to brighten up anyone's day! Bit more of the story here. Then on to the floating landing stage at Seacombe - all the landing stages on the Mersey are designed to go up and down with the tide which can sometimes be up to 9 metres. Then bottom right (no it is not an early rocket made out of brick!) is the ventilation equipment for the Mersey Tunnel - funny to think we are sailing over hundred of cars driving underneath us over 30 metres below... The very impressive building is either Seacombe, Wallasey or Wirral Town hall - there does not appear to be total agreement on the internet - whatever it is called they certainly don't build them like that anymore.. Final shot is of a frequent visitor to our river - Nomadic Milde which is a general cargo ship - any idea what she is carrying in this stock photo?
