Fennel

Went up to the allotment to put in a couple of hours work; it is beginning to look slightly less untidy. When I was inspecting the fennel seed heads to see if we were going to get any ripe enough to dry this year (probably not) I discovered that numerous tiny snails were roosting amongst them.
