Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art

Had a few child free hours so went for a look around the G0MA. The 'giant baby' is so detailed and it is unsettling examining life size people up close! Some exhibits were thought provoking and some were self-indulgent tosh in my opinion but the most frustrating was a series of framed photographs which, if you showed them to anyone with an interest in photography, would tell you they were poorly composed, uninteresting and sometimes out of focus, but not in an artistic way. Why do they merit a place in such a venue? It's beyond me. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our visit and the cake in the cafe was fantastic :-)
