Shining Cuckoo

I was an absolute joy this morning to photograph a Shining Cuckoo which had been brought into our vet's clinic. I have never managed to view this fellow, though one can often hear them in summer.They have a very distinctive call. He is so beautiful....not at all well though- was hit by a car.
I had to share him.
