Garden Fete

I love a fete, and the annual Bakewell Cottage Nursing Home fete is one of my favourites.
Held in their lovely grounds, this year they had Ashover Brass Band, animals that included a lamb, kid and an extremely small calve!
They also have a fabulous cake and secret bottle stall.
Janet won a suprisingly good bottle of wine and I won a bottle of vodka filled with water!
We ended up buying loads of carrot and fruit cake, with the carrot cake just shading it in the taste test.
